Key Scripture: Luke 4:45 – 49
The heart of man is the place where you store treasure and this treasure can be good or it can be evil. The word “good” to some simply means helping others, and “evil” means moral evil or natural disasters, but what is good according to God? The Bible says that all our works are as filthy rags before God (Isaiah 64:6) and that people can find themselves calling good evil and evil good (Isaiah 5:20). Without the Spirit of God – we cannot do the things of God which are good. Without His Spirit we have no account before God because without Jesus Christ we are dead in sins. Ensure you have received that Spirit. The natural mind cannot please God; the will of God is only possible and acceptable in Jesus Christ.
(Luke 6:46) Are you calling on God and not doing the will of the Father in heaven? Jesus was God but to do the will of God He became inferior; He did not count equality with God as robbery (Philippians 2:6) . Are you finding it difficult to do the will of God, questioning the will of God and saying you are uncertain that you can do it. We should not be deceived by calling him Lord when we are not willing to do his will. To please God and have good treasure is only possible in Jesus Christ. Looking at the world around us, there are challenging days ahead where we will be stretched as Christians.
The life of a Christian is like a building project. You need a strong foundation that can carry the weight of life so that you do not forget who you are. You are a child of God redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all you can ask, He is a deliverer and with that you must remember that your life is a building beautifully designed by God so that when it is tested and tried it will stand. You will be persecuted for following Christ – so make sure your life is sorted in Jesus Christ and let Jesus be the Lord of your life. This is the time to make sure your foundation is solid, through prayer and fasting and finding out what the will of God is for your life. God is the one that will decide for you, including ministry and you will begin to flow, but remember God is looking to have a relationship with you in the secret places. Take care of the little foxes that damage the vines, damaging your fruit and making you fruitless.
Address the things that are needed in your life and the grace of God will abound in you. Lastly, make sure you are doing what God wants you to do.
